
Sarah Mochkin is an artist and educator from Crown Street in Crown Heights, a convenience coincidence with her crown obsession. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Studio Art from Brooklyn College and a Master's degree in Arts in Education from Harvard University. Sarah works with many different media, increasing the platform for creative expression. She loves flowers, crowns, metal, independently or combined. Sarah values including others in her work and building community through shared, inclusive, and creative experiences. The Painted Florist offers two classic workshops: Flower Crown Making and Introduction to Beading. These workshops give people the opportunity to interact with materials and create their own masterpiece. For who? Ages 8+. Workshops are tailored to the specific age group. A great craft idea for Bat Mitzvahs, bridal showers, and parties. How does it work? All materials are provided! For flower crowns, we bring a variety of fresh flowers or silk flowers (whichever is preferred) and all necessary materials. For beading workshops, we bring a rainbow of beads and the rest of the tools needed to create headbands. How much does it cost? Prices vary from $15-25 per person, depending on party size and location. Special pricing available for larger groups, contact for a specific quote. Do you need to be artsy to make this? Not at all! All you need is a positive attitude and we have you covered. Do you use real or silk flowers? Both options are available! How far will you travel?
